This game is very cool. We saw it in Avalon Roma Games near the Vatican and had to pick it up for Christmas. For Pandemic lovers it is familiar and intuitive but pretty different than the original: -the theme is strong and semi-historical -the map is well-crafted and beautiful -the new rules (railroads, ports, purified water, etc.) add interesting depth to the game-play -the roles are sufficiently different than the ones for the original game -two historical scenarios that are basically mini-expansions come with the game

Like it. Compared to base pandemic, Iberia contains more and better events, better roles, a way to quarantine diseases, new and interesting movement mechanic and two optional variants. All this makes it better/ more complete than base pandemic. But it's also easier to win, so it wears off quickly. Politician is a bit overpowerd and Scientist could use a slight boost (like drawing 3 cards/keeping 2 at the end of her turn without spending an action).

This is pretty fun for a family game, but like others have said, plagued by the alpha player problem.
