Ancient Wonders is an expansion to Origins: First Builders and consists of two separate modules which can be added to your game separately or together.
Ancient Wonders
This module enables a new type of building that can be added to your city, eight majestic ancient wonders that bring more variability and options to the game.
Trials of the Builders
End-of-round scoring objectives require you to find the right balance between pursuing advancements required by the current round objective versus progressing the personal goals you have set for your civilization already. This module also brings a predetermined length to the game, eliminating all other end game conditions.

Changes the endgame, giving you a set amount of rounds and events. The wonders are interesting and potentially powerful buildings that unlock as the encounter sites are used enough. Good addition to the game.
SmoothGB
Biggest reason to own is because it removes the end game triggers of the base game that can lead the game being too long (or too short) depending on the game. This adds a specified number of rounds that will allow me to get it to the table much more often as it gives the length more "certainty". Also adds new building for the City building section, which is a fun add.
SocksRule
I liked the addition of a fixed number of rounds with the end of each round having a different scoring bonus. I also liked the card that gave bonuses to the lower valued dice. I didn't play with the new building type module.
