Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Fun and relatively quick optimization game. I've only played twice, so I'm still working out a more comprehensive strategy for playing this game. The games I played were quite different.

It's a fine filler game. Decisions are rather quick and the gameplay is perfect for it's weight. There are some AP inducing moments in this game though. It's nearly impossible to plan in this because of the random order the tiles come out and the fact other players may take the tile you want. Evaluating the most efficient move each turn is the name of the game. Overall, there isn't really anything that excites me in the game. The scoring is simple and repetitive. Will play if in the mood.
