Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

A pretty but shallow set collecting game. Chaotic at 4p as it was very easy for other players to swipe public contracts that you were working towards, or upgrade a tile that burns all the resources cubes you were saving on it. I do like that the placement of your resource cubes dictates the locations that you can expand to, it adds a nice spatial element to an otherwise simple game. Some interesting ideas, but I don't think it quite works.

Beautifully presented game with a great theme that it hews to very well. A bit of luck in how the tiles fall, and the random card draws, so more at the family game end of things.

I was very impressed but this game. Very elegant, tactical and dynamic. Rules book (version 1) is bad however, with translation issues and missing and confusing info. But hope it is an easy fix. Theme is inexistent but I like how it has a family variant and an advanced variant.
