Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

Very good tableau builder. These often fall into dominant strategies, but all my plays have looked very different. The player powers all seem very good, never regretted the choice. And the set collection and adjacencies make you choose some tough trade-offs. All in all it is pretty much what you expect and nothing really innovative, but the care in balancing means that the puzzle is engaging every time.

Need to play it some more. Interesting dice drafting with a rhythm to the game that's hard to describe/manage. Drafting dice to get buildings versus activating buildings (most of which let you construct or activate buildings, so you have to balance the two options.

great tile placement and dice drafting game. many ways to victory. easy to explain and due to special powers with some great replayability
