The game was a little tiresome and felt overcomplicated for the sake of being complicated. I don’t usually care about the theme, but here it’s very very dry.

I love steam punk airships and floating islands. Combine that with an interesting action selection wheel makes for a fun mid weight Euro.

Great game in general. Love the action selection wheels mechanic, as well as the overall theme and design of the game. With two players gameplay is 60-90 minutes, so I will probably not play it often with more than two players. Other than that, the game lacks player interaction and random factors (the only random factor is the islands, and it is not a crucial factor). For these two reasons, replayability is low, and each play is basically solving the same puzzle again and trying to come up with better solutions for it. The most obvious cons for me when deciding whether to play it or not is its relatively complex set-up, as well as its instructions. Learning how to play it could have been easier had the instructions been arranged more clearly, and refering to them while playing in order to get something straight can be frustrating. To conclude, I would play this game when I'm in the mood, and I do consider it to be a hidden gem in my collection, but it is not for everyone. I would recommend it to players who love engine builders and are interested in innovative mechanics, as well as appreciate game design. However, it is definitely not for casual players who just want to spend an evening playing something fun and simple.
