Played this today with my son, we were a bit nervous as a few comments are saying dont play with less than 4. We took 2 factions each and I have to say it was brilliant, the lead went back and forth throughout and playing 9 really stretched it from the regular 6 allowing a few that appeared behind to sneak ahead. Lots of depth of play as you look to see where you can get points but also where you can damage opponents scores. We picked factions opposite each other on the board and it started almost like 2 seperate battles going on but as the actions went on all the teams spread out a little and there was some great maths going on around turn order and battles. So, can definitely recommend 2 player with 2 each.

Provisional rating based on partial demo at UK Games Expo 2016. Looks beautiful and seems to be a deep game, but I'm not sure if it will suit my group very well (worried that AP issues and a tendency to gang up on the game owner might get frustrating!). I was tempted to pre-order but decided to put it on hold for now - hope to get in a full game and decide at next year's Expo.

Excellent area control, power struggle. Variant powers of the players make it different everytime and brings the theme to life. Learnt it at Airecon and luckily was able to immediately buy a copy from the bring and buy - with expansion, but I haven't tried that yet
