Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Played this multiple time at BGGcon. It seems like I shouldn't like it as much as I do, as it's such a simple concept, but I keep wanting to play it. I need to play it! Now, I await its US release. It was easily my game of the con.

Preliminary rating, more plays needed. Artful with great production quality. Streamlined solo game that plays short.

Initial Impression: Similar to the rest of the series, the artwork in this game conveys a sense of surrealism. Unfortunately, with the limited number of components in the game, your exposure to varied artwork is minimal, which makes me feel less immersed in the theme. Of all the Oniverse games I've owned/played, this one feels the lightest. Setup is fairly simple and quick. The gameplay decisions don't feel quite as tense as previous games in the series. Of course, I've only played the base game so far and I'm sure that the expansions will increase the difficulty. Overall, this feels like a good inclusion to the Oniverse universe that I'm sure to warm up to with repeated plays.
