Neat modular expansion. A good chunk of it is just more of the same in terms of cards, special weapons, and ship upgrades which is fine with me. The weather and storm system seems so simple and yet makes things more interesting as you can sail with or against the wind and need to consider where the storm is. Brilliant addition. Locations are also a neat little system that add some additional incentives for being a merchant or pirate and change the landscape a little from game-to-game. Likely won't play without most of these modules going forward.

One of the greatest expansions ever made. I wish every expansion were this good. While it is possible to play the base game solo, it just doesn't work for me without this expansion. If playing multiplayer, I recommend only using the expansions that don't increase the time of the game. When playing solo, throw in all the goodness.
