In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.

Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Games with partnerships offer players a set of rules for alliances and teams. Partners are often able to win as a team, or penalties are enforced for not respecting alliances

About as bad as most people say. I think though that if the card play wasn't so convoluted and central to the game that this could be a decent dice game. I would almost recommend using a friendly variant to not play cards on other players' turns. The card play is very reminiscent of the old Marvel Heroes game from Fantasy Flight, but much worse. In fact, Marvel Heroes does a lot of the same things in a faster and better way. The other major problem is that the dice rolling isn't that interesting. You choose how many to roll, and try to match a few symbols. It's pretty dull compared to other dice games like Age of War and Elder Sign. It's a nice production, for the most part, but much like the video games this is based on, it's long, repetitive, and annoying.

Very mediocre good looking game. Totally random and incredibly long (we gave up after 2 hours and were maybe half way) 4 hours of random repetitive gameplay does not make for a fun experience. The take that element are kind of fun, but makes each turn take longer, but without that part big chunks of the game would be looking at people throw dice, reroll, fail reroll for 15 20 minutes. Pretty bad. Updated my rating as the more games I play the worst this one seems.
