The Campaign/Battle Card Driven mechanic is a relatively recent development in war games that focuses the players' actions on cards they have in their hand. The very basic idea is that performing a single action uses a single card. Games where cards are used to determine the outcome of battles do not use this mechanic.
Campaign / Battle Card Driven
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Zak bumm- beste Erweiterung für Marvel Champions! Die Helden Shadowcat und Colossus sind für mich zwar nur durchschnittlich (was vorallem an den sehr kleinteiligen Regeln liegt)- es sind aber die Szenarien, die mich vom Hocker reißen. Bekannte Helden gepaart mit vielseitigen Storyleveln. Magneto ist mein Lieblingsschurke überhaupt- und im Finale dieser Box bietet er mir einen perfekten, fordernden Schwierigkeitsgrad.

I played through the campaign once on standard II. I started with Colossus. Very neat character, but I couldn't really make him work for me. You need the tough status to do damage and playing true solo I kept losing tough staying in hero form. After losing to Sabretooth 3 times on standard I switched to Shadowcat. I really liked her, she is very strong. Playing her is managing the solid and tranparant form, really neat. Once you get some beefed up allies in play it is hard to lose. The campain feels epic. I didn't care for the 2nd and 3rd scenario that much, but the other villans were excellent. This is definately up there for the best campaign box. I decided to play all the xmen campaign content, but I won't be keeping it since I already have way too much content for marvel champions. I would highly recommend this one for marvel champions beginners and experts.
