Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

**Rate is only based on solo play** While I appreciate more designers and publishers including solo, in this game a lot is lost. Not only is it a BYOS, the final stage of the scoring (celebrations?) is removed completely, chopping a big part of the game's strategy. I feel a real solo mode wouldn't be hard to implement with a few cards or a die, and it would make it so much better.

Nice game with appealing graphics and a light setting. The animals are well-designed and the board is pleasant. The weak point is the repetitiveness of the characters' actions and recipe cards. Ultimately, it comes down to running to retrieve the same ingredients to produce cards. I also find that the maps extend the time, making a player's turn excessive. It's okay with 3 players but with 4, there are long periods of downtime. It's worth playing occasionally, but it lacks variety in actions. Additionally, the scoring system is as lengthy as the duration of the game.

Played an unpublished version of this and the game play is solid. I feel confident the final product will have great art and components.
