Cons: - dials have pins that don't fits and breaks if you try to unpin them to fix the poblem - the manual don't have a summary on last page with all symbols explained, so you need to check 3 different pages - the insert barely keep all components - overpriced, but worth buying at sales for 25-30$ Pro: - nice reworked graphics and mechanics - variety with tiles that change many parameters - nice plastic pieces Modifications for family style: - building a shrine in the town with maharaja cost 2 coins (instead of 1). - when you walk with the priest on roads where you usually need to play money to opponents, they gains gain that amount from the bank instead. - play a shorter game: play 5 rounds in 2-3 players play 4 rounds in 4 players - the money reward at city scoring phase for the last placed player with at least 1 WP is: 7 coins (instead of 5). - don't use the reward tile that make all opponents to loose 2 coins as intended, make it instead to give you 1 action token placing an action token on it (like the one from kickstarter) - Maharani reward token: can be placed also on other players characters. - don't use the action that change the flags position as intended, use it to draw 3 cards and keep one for set collection of relics from the emperor. I've introduced a set collection phase. Make a deck from yugioh not used cards: 6 colors x 7 cards each. At the end of the City Scoring Phase, the winner of WP majority in a town draw 2 cards and keep one, exposing it face up. The other players draw a single card and expose it face up. Give 2 PP for each majority on a color, 1 PP/draw majority. And 2 points for majority of soum of circles representing the level from all cards considering it a separate money value category. Tested in few games and now i like it a lot more.

I love Kramer and Kiesling games by and large and this one shares a lot of DNA with the rest, meaning it's fairly rules light and yet has a very high degree of strategy. However, there is nothing here truly differentiating and the game didn't flow particularly well for me. The math needed for calculating the area majorities in the cities is very AP inducing and slows down the flow of the game. In our three player game, it took us over 2 hours to finish and that's too long for a game of this weight. I'd be willing to play it again as I enjoyed the high degrees of player interactivity, but that's both good and bad as some of the things other players can do to you cannot be mitigated and that could be off putting for some.
