This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Very nice component and pretty looking board. The clear tiles look pretty when placing on the board. The worker placement system with the robots matches the theme. Makes you want to play when taking the pieces out since they are nice. I would play if being asked to.

Although I definitely prefer this to age of steam and related, the game plays a little strangely, and the theme is also a little strange. Components are great but get in the way sometimes when you have to dig through stacks to remove your tile. Really like the mechanic when you deliver a passenger and get to upgrade your actions though.

played a few times at 2 and we love it. Dropping off robots to augment your stats is very satisfying. choosing a strategy and aligning your passengers to correspond in an attempt to accumulate points has a pretty good puzzly feel. Components are fantastic and add to the experience. We'll see if it gets stale, but so far we keep wanting to bring it to the table
