In this 1-4 player strategic board game, you will lead a unique, asymmetric hero and their army, trying to be the ultimate victor in a war that unfolds over approximately 120 minutes. Players will choose from various actions, such as building monuments, hunting monsters, ravaging the lands, gathering armies and artifacts.
Gods will grant you blessings that will heavily impact the game and create a unique combo for each player. On top of all that, special runes will play a significant role in leveling up your armies or earning other bonuses that include control of deadly monsters.
While the game is spiritual successor of Lords of Hellas and implements a lot of core gameplay aspects, there will be a lot of new mechanics and twists, so prepare yourself for fresh, new thematic experience!
Multiple victory conditions will keep players at the edge of their seats until the end of the game, making room for some stunning, carefully planned last-minute reversals!

Right now a surprising positive 9. Played some games with 3 people. The game was every time very dense an not clear who will win. Very exciting game. Can be played very fast for an intense experience.

Big fan of LoH despite its flaws, but I managed to implement house rules to fix the shortcomings. Huge expectations on LoR but the game was a big disappointment. FYI, I was invited to partake in the open beta testing by Awaken Realms and had played the game 10x (Group Size 4p-5p). At a high player count, the win cons were predictable and 90% of the time, it would end up in Ragnarok.

Sadly LoR fails in everything it want to be. As a sequel of lords of hellas you could expect it would be better in everything. But it is a step forward in some apsects and two steps backwards in others. Component are overall better, but the fourth faction with the sundrop has a color too smilar to neutral building making it really hard to use. Half of the victory condition are impossible to achieve, they are too hard or require too much preparation time and the ragnarok will happen for sure before them. The game is not complex, it is just bloated: 20 actions with many repetitions but with subtle differences that force you to check continously the reference. This affect the downtime, that it's even worse than hellas (thank you rune actions!). For half of the game the heroes are pretty much useless, their stats are too low to fight or usurp and they will act only as delivery boy to pick up runes. Some origins, blessing and heroes are really unbalanced compared to other. Too much monsters in game, make the game just confusing, less moster with more mobility maybe would have helped. Really a terrible game, that it is not worth the plastic it's made of.
