Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Lightning fast tile/die roller in the vein of feld's roma series. not nearly as good, but also way faster.

Love this game - been playing it almost daily since it arrived and still haven't solved all the strategy options, great, simple game that plays a bit like chess. Love the artwork too plus the fantastic production quality... The dieselpunk version is my fav!

[PNP] The game felt too luck based and dragged on for quite a bit. You set up to kill the opponent and then they change the place, after that they do the same but it just comes down to who rolls to kill themselves. Did not enjoy that kind of tension.
