Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Lightning fast tile/die roller in the vein of feld's roma series. not nearly as good, but also way faster.

I actually like this one. It's kinda strategic, along with that probability roll element that Catan has. If you like head to head strategy games like chess, or Santorini, then this game is right up that alley. Good for a quick vs in a park (because the wind won't pick it up), or on a lunch break.

Simple, maybe a little too chaotic for my tastes. But over a series I think the better player wins more often and the game time is short.
