The epic Egyptian game Kemet is reborn with a new revised edition!
With Kemet: Blood and Sand, immerse yourself in a more realistic Ancient Egypt. Here, Gods are powerful, masters of both the desert and the Nile delta. They challenge each other in violent battles and show no mercy. Get ready to become an Egyptian God, open the gates of your city, and let your troops sing the song of war to please you and claim your dominance as master of Ancient Egypt.
Kemet: Blood and Sand features new art and upgraded gameplay with new approachable rules that go beyond the 1.5 version of Kemet developed with the help of the BGG community. Free from the constraints of existing components, designers Jacques Bariot and Guillaume Montiage go even further in fine-tuning the Kemet experience.
The game also features a redesigned map with a twist, bigger and more detailed figurines, and other surprises.

Refined version of original Kemet. New unblockable damage mechanic is great, opens new strategy windows, and helps building a viable devourer strategy. I loved the changes on blue and black tiles. Not so sure on white ones, and i was expecting a nerf on a particular red tile, which i sadly saw it got more overpowered through new synergies. The new refined rules are very welcome, and easily integrated on original kemet as well. The one game i had on this version, it happened to be one of my best board game experiences i ve ever had. It was on a 3player game with experienced players, that it was completely balanced to the end. Kemet remains the best dudes on a map game, when you seek a deep strategy experience with minor luck elements.

Initial Impression: I've played the original Kemet and this was a much better overall experience. The production for this version of the game is through the roof. I particularly love the creature minis and pyramids. The player aids are very handy. The game trays made set up and teardown quick and painless. The game is better than I remembered it. Each faction is racing to get points by engaging in battles and controlling areas. As such, battles don't feel personal. You don't feel the need to exact revenge on the player who just beat your army. Instead, you're constantly looking for ways to generate points. My favorite part of the game are the technologies. With so many to choose from, I just want to try them all in every combination possible. This is a game that I'm very tempted to add to my collection.

Excellent multiplayer dudes on a map game with an interesting action selection mechanism and some funny tech trees.
