A smart mechanic looking for a full game. You move down a row, card by card losing and gaining resources. When all three characters (aka resource bags) die from not having a resource, you lose. That's the good stuff. Everything else in the system is a mess. Egregiously, the rule book reads like you've played Lost Expeditions first and made a lot of assumptions without walking through a turn or explaining the flow of the game at all. The location system is barely explained with cards coming out with rules you can't achieve depending on when they come out and it's not clear how location cards are flipped or stay out or what. We did our best, but there are too many games out there to waste on an unfinished system.

The lost expedition, is much better. Bad materials, thin cards, thin tokens. Almost imposible to win. The history from cards is very abstract and no conected with the theme(in comparisation with lost expedition).

Fun and quick solo (or co-op/pvp) game, some strategy/resource management with a bit of luck. The theme is fun, with some great Judge Dredd artwork on the cards (Of which there are plenty!). By the end of my first game I had my head around the iconography for resources/encounters and rarely had to check the rulebook anymore. The luck aspect can be somewhat mitigated as you choose the lesser of multiple evils on cards, or swap and even skip some cards.
