Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
In games with a trading mechanic, the players can exchange game items between each other.

Disclosure; I'm the developer of the game. I'm super happy with how it turned out, it does what it was intended to; it conveys a feeling of hopelessness. There's a decent amounf of luck, but also a lot of decisions to be made between luck and misfortune. The challenge is intentionally one of adaption to opportunities; Maybe 6 enemies have pooled at a single location, providing efficient kills. Maybe you have a lot of enemy control, and can just push back enemies rather than killing them. Sometimes the optimal approach is just to sprint for victory and damn the island. Some times one Protagnoist accumulates multiple Quest abilities and becomes overpowered and everyone else is simply trying to protect them. I'm genuinely happy with the gameplay and I'm hoping to see more reviews come through so that we can make an even better game next time!

Stupidly difficult and not fun. Everything in the game is luck-based, with very little mitigation and maximum punishment for failure. I really wanted to love this game, but it is just not an enjoyable experience.

Abandonados en una isla porque se nos ha estropeado el barco y tenemos que intentar que nos rescaten. Juego de terror gótico y en que se le nota una gran influencia de los mundos de H.P. lovecraft
