A two-level worker placement: 1) Place your workers to get patients, money, medicines, reputation 2) Go shopping for doctors & medicines that are essentially different ways of getting VP. Can also be viewed as contract fulfillment. There is the usual business of Patients need certain medicines, which can only be bought in certain combinations, and doctors can only dispense certain combinations. This is all fairly standard. Three unique things stand out: 1) The worker placement is driven by dice rolls for whats available plus some mod chits. The chance to interfere with opponents is high. 2) Matching doctors, patients, & medicines, is a little triangle layout puzzles that adds an extra constraint to the resource allocation problem. 3) You have two turns to "heal" (i.e. get the resources) for a patient, or suffer a death penalty. so, a steep performance constraint. Reasonably fun and a competent implementation, but failed to stand out in what seems like a well explored mechanic now.

My rating should be taken with a heap of salt as it's based on one solo play. That said, that one play was dull enough that I didn't even bother to finish it, and it left me with zero hope that the multiplayer game would have anything to recommend it.
