The Campaign/Battle Card Driven mechanic is a relatively recent development in war games that focuses the players' actions on cards they have in their hand. The very basic idea is that performing a single action uses a single card. Games where cards are used to determine the outcome of battles do not use this mechanic.
Campaign / Battle Card Driven
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

没什么平衡不平衡的,可以帮别国打有利的卡牌,甚至可以忽悠别国把地盘送给自己,想要赢还得有很强的嘴炮能力才行 六大势力的获胜条件还是有很大区别的,有点不对称游戏的感觉

An Event Game. Well worth building a day around at a Convention. Nothing less than an amazing experience. ______________________________ Sleeved. Acquired December 2017. I've wanted this one for several years; glad to obtain it and hopefully I can get a game in before too long. Update (March 2019): This is a game I've wanted to play for a long time, but face-to-face opportunities have not happened. So, I'm going to try to get a PBeM game going. Second update (March 2019): Game on, thanks to the BGG's HiS forum. PBeM, using ACTS, VASSAL, Dropbox and discord. I have the Ottomans. Game began 18 March. Game concluded 26 October 2019. Came third, although dragged down by weak piracy rolls :) Third update (May 2019): I played a 6 player face to face game of the tournament scenario, scoring 20VPs as the Papacy. Third place. Awesome game. Fourth update (Sept 2019): Currently playing as the Protestant in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 24 August. Face-to-face game at Gaelcon 2019, 1517 scenario. Played France, came joint fourth in Turn 6. Hapsburg won. Sixth update (Nov 2019): Currently playing as England in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 5 November. Seventh update (Feb 2020): Game as England finished in T4 with a Hapsburg win, as CV overran the Ottomans. 20VPs. Eight update (Feb 2020): Currently playing as Hapsburgs in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 4 February. Twelfth update (Jul 2020): Hapsburg game ended 3 July. 4thr place (but cam every close to winning). Ninth update (April 2020): Game as Protestant ended in T5 with my maiden victory. Took 8 months to play! Tenth update (May 2020). Currently playing as the Ottomans in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 26 May. End of T3, Sulieman & 8R assault 1R in Venice. So, six dice versus two. Roll - no attacker hits, two defender hits. My worst HiS roll to date. Thirteenth update: Game ended 13 July, Papacy won in T5 on 25, I came joint-third with 21. Eleventh update (June 2020). Currently playing as the Papacy in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 1 June. Suxteenth update: GAme ended 11 September. I came third, with 21. France won, and Protestants came 2nd. A strong showing as the Papacy. Thirteenth Update (July 2020). Currently playing as the Protestant in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 20 July. Fourteenth update: Game ended 29 August, England won in T5 on 25, I came joint-second with 22. A strong game. Fifteenth Update (September 2020): Currently playing as the Hapsburgs in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game began 30 August. Game ended29 September at end-T5 with a Papal win. I scored 21 VPs. Brutal dice throughout the game. Lost as the Papacy in a punishing game - brutal dice. Played as the French in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game started 12 September. Game ended 16 January 2021. Victory with France, on 25VPs at end-T6. Played as the Ottomans in an ACTS, VASSAL and Dropbox game. Game started 5 January and ended 2 February 2021. Victory with Ottomans, on 27VPs at end-T6. Currently playing as the Hapsburg.

At a Con, with other experienced players, i would really enjoy a game of Here I Stand. I've found playing solo can actually be entertaining as well although it's not designed for that. It's defintely an experience.
