What more is there to really say about Hogwarts Battle? I could present my thoughts on the individual components of this expansion (5-Player, Ginny, Charms, Potions, etc.), but I truly feel like I can't be bothered to. Hogwarts Battle continues to have an identity crisis when it comes to difficulty, with Charms swinging things way too much in the easy direction. The Hogwarts deck continues to bloat in size, and the game still becomes trivial if you can easily remove Villain Control tokens (if the Charms somehow weren't enough on their own). I played this out of curiosity, not because I expected anything better from the game.

It really brings nothing to the game. Some stuff added was nice but didn't need an entire expansion for it. The potions really bring nothing to the game of consequence. Charms are a nice add. Consider playing without the potions if you want to try - you won't miss anything.

after several plays, decided most of this isn't worth it. new character, encounter cards, and non-potion based hogwarts cards are cool. but the potions board, potions, and dark arts potions cards have been pulled out for us.
