Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

[Adult - Weight:Family+ - Players:X (Best:X) - Size:X - Time:X] [Family - 2-Players - Adult] Weight: Light - Size: Medium - Time: Long Dice Rolling / Cooperative / 2-4 Players (Best:3) / 120min I know the Harry Potter franchise, but I'm not connected to it. Fans will get even more enjoyment of this game. In the end it is a nicely produced Yahtzee, which greatly adepts the theme and add some variety to the game play. I really like the decisions you have to make and the random cards gives you a variety of strategies to adept. The downside of all the randomness is, that if the cards and rolls are against you, it can be really punishing. We found it manageable, but if luck and randomness concerns you, stay away. Was a present and a surprise hit for me! PRO - great components - great artwork and theme - good CON - can be relatively long, especially with more players - swingy/luck: sometimes a few bad draws or dice rolls can alter the state of the game

It could have been named, ‘Hogwarts Battle: The Dice Game’. My main complaint with this game’s deck-building predecessor was the amount of time it took to get through a round. This iteration still overstays it’s welcome, but not by much. Turns are faster and the resolution of effects and abilities is easier to track. Most encouraging, it also held my 10 year-old’s attention (which HP:HB did not). Overall, Rise of the Death Eaters is a fun play that is suitable for families and others who are interested in a dice-driven, Potter-themed lark.

Ich wollte es gerne mögen.. theoretisch sollte es auch spannend sein, unsere Runde war schön knapp. Aber das Kniffel-prinzip für 2 Stunden hat uns dann doch einfach nicht abgeholt.
