Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Combo building works so well with cooldown because it lets you be clever with timing and setting up big turns. The theme is tenuous enough that you can just laugh at the job titles and not really think about it. I like the art style. I’ve heard the second game, Nexus, has better powers.

Femme Fatale is much too good. Frequently at the mercy of the cards, and if you get lucky with your starting hand, completing a Blue mission lets you complete more Blue missions and really run away with the game.

The game has very nice art and some interesting card combos, but overall it just isn't a game for me. There is too much "take that" and not enough control over what other players will do with their turn. It is fairly fast and I might play if in the right mood, but I think this just isn't one for me.
