Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.

Gravwell is a pledge to the phrase, "looks can be deceiving." You will struggle to make it to the warp gate, else forever be trapped in the singularity. It's a light game that I think is actually a lot of fun.

Reminds me of RoboRalley. You make a plan and then watch it get screwed up in beautiful chaos. Since it plays out in 30 minutes I think it works well, and longer and it would get sloggy. Cool game.

If you boiled down games like RoboRally to their very core I think Gravwell is the game that would come out. This game has players repeatedly trying to read the opponents' minds and plan their moves based around what others are doing. I love this, especially in a 2-player game, because it creates this great "Battle of Wits" feeling that always brings me to the point of chuckling at how many steps in advance I'm planning. Perhaps one of the best ideas this game brings is the natural catch-up mechanism. It's the very nature of this game that players who have jumped out to a large lead are doomed to be pulled back, while players who have fallen behind can reach them quickly. I imagine with more players the game might get pretty chaotic, much like any programmed movement game, but I think it would still be enjoyable. I don't feel the need to own this game, though, because each turn is almost exactly the same. While I like the puzzle of "what will my opponents do next?" it could get old quickly since it is virtually the same thought process every single turn. It's a game I would gladly play if offered, but I'm not going to suggest it any time soon.
