This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.

The game itself is truly great, though the theme really creates a moral quandary. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a "slave" as a distraction to let others escape, and it feels like playing God, and I legitimately feel awful when I do it. I suppose in that sense, this is one of the most thematically rich games around. A truly strong co-op that deserves more table time.

A strongly thematic game that offers a decent strategic challenge. While the gameplay was acceptable the real strength is the theme. It does a very good job of making you care about getting slaves to safety and raising support. The cards also highlight important events and people that had a big historical impact, and some of these cards have a big gameplay impact to match. While I enjoyed my experience I wouldn't be rushing back to play again partly due to my bias against coop games and partly I struggle to see much variety or emergent challenges.

Excellent design and production quality. Very difficult game to successfully manage support and the movement of slaves. The slave catcher mechanism is ingenious. If you are fan of cooperatives, this will scratch a new itch. If you are fan of cooperative and games rich with historically accurate themes, then this should flip all your switches as it does mine. Well done, Brian!
