This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.

Attempts to be a blend of TransAmerica and Ticket To Ride. To some degree, it succeeds but there are serious usability problems. The cities aren't grouped or color-coded in any way. The historical artwork actually makes them all look the same at a glance, which only makes it worse. The "tickets" are intended to be variable and with multiple options per column, you are managing a large grid of city cards throughout the game. Turns are short, so that helps, but the playtime was at least 2 hours and that's too long for a game that is advertised at 55 minutes and would be fine at 45 minutes. It's not hard to play and there is some challenge and a good deal of interaction/collusion which feels appropriate for a train game. But I actively disliked the overhead that the game saddles you with - that isn't fun. That's the opposite of fun.

Kind of mix of transamerica and ticket to ride. There is less planning in the game than TTR, you have play more opportunistic. It plays fluent and the scores are close to each other.

Fantastic pick-up-and-deliver train game. Perhaps the best ever (if you do not count Age of Steam and it's variants as PUaD). It's everything I always wanted crayon rail games to be: faster and with more player interaction. Make sure to use colored dice set to 1, 2 and 3 to mark the routes available in the market, though (as per GameboyGeek's recommendation). It makes things so much easier to see, and turns are quicker.
