Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Really fun cooperative game. Though everyone has something to do, no one is set in a job. If you aren't making progress on your build, you can work on the universal vaccine tiles, or validate other people's builds. There are lots of tweaks for the difficulty, you'll need to play a few games adjusting that until you find the balance for your group.

This is a wonderful game, the difficulty of teaching it aside. The needs for different skillsets, occasional cooperation, quick dexterity, and lateral thinking all make it a joy to play with the right group. My knock on many untimed coops is that I attend enough meetings at work. Here, even that problem is upended by the (maybe intentionally parodic) detail where a group of highly skilled scientists occasionally have to stop what they are doing to attend a team meeting where everybody watches one person do some basic math. A gem. [Disclaimer: I know and like Eric.]

A logical construction of a cooperative game that works so well in its approach to modularity and creating an experience centered around building with blocks and connecting tile patterns. Each event, player ability, and mutation pushes the boundaries of the medium by using lots of real world modifications to the game state. Such a unique experience that needs to be experienced and will draw you in multiple times.
