Better than FUSE. Sure FUSE plays really fast and this game took a long time, but it was interesting. It required thinking both quickly during the rounds and planned out in-between rounds. We really had to communicate and plan what we would/should do. And it has a theme even if it makes no sense. Still it's a timed, dice game: I don't like these games because I don't like the stress of timed play, it makes it too hard to concentrate and hold/move pieces steadily, and generally stress ruins my fun. Still, this game is absurdly difficult and the settings are set too tough.

Acquired in local July 2021 math trade This is fast becoming a family game night favorite. It's co-op real time which adds just enough chaos to have a few great laughs. The dice rolling is always a welcome element in our games and this one we all get our own set! Bonus :) Recommended for your first play - double the timer to allow people to get a feel for the first play through without the sand timer flying by and while people are asking questions and then you only placed a couple of dice before it runs out.

Really fun and intense dice rolling. I appreciate the planning step. It’s a little less intense than pandemic rapid response because of the planning and huge number of options to match your dice you typically always get something. It also has your typical lock to reroll mechanism which I appreciate and also anyone can lock for someone to reroll. I haven’t played fuse but I love the cooperative team work on completing it and little more strategy on what to hit for what rewards. The blue area felt a little off because it will typically fill up quickly without much you can do about it. I love the interconnectedness of the orange stat cards being player powers so taking them out isn’t such a chore. In comparison the blue are just a punishment each round or a way to trick up your play. I’d maybe rather see some different way of handling that instead of having 10 cards in two rows taking shots at you. Little incentive to clear them out because you replace them with 4 more in a two player game. We ended up winning when it was down to the wire.
