Fjords (Kickstarter – Jarl Pledge)
30m - 45m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 8+
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Fun game I'm glad was reprinted. This game plays out very quickly. Probably 30 minutes if you are really thinking about it. Area control that is designed to be mean, but like I said is so fast, it's over before you know it. Light rules with easy to learn and teach rules.

A weird game whose second half didn't seem as interesting as I thought it would be. My first impression may have been marred somewhat by a bad teach; I owe it another try one of these days.
