Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Truly a game that I adore. Playing a round in 30 or so, maybe even less, is so satisfying. I think there is a great deal of strategy that comes from how and when to play cards, but frankly there will be bad luck as well. For me, that is all part of the charm and as much part of the experience. The stories this game can tell are just something that are my absolute favorite in gaming! I love this game so dearly, and while I think the theme has a lot to do with it, the card play is so wonderful and deep as well. I find each killer requires their own strategy, and I learn something on each play! I am sure this game isn't for everyone, but it unequivocally is for me!

Absolutely adore this game! This is an immersive, challenging, and versatile solitaire game that puts you in the roll of the "Final Girl" of a horror movie. You choose your final girl, villain, and location which can all be mixed and matched allowing for a ton of replay ability. The game does have a fair bit of set-up, but once the turns start it settles into a nice pace where you are racing to defeat the monster before things get out of hand. The game is pretty difficult, and it will feel like the killer is an unstoppable force; but it never felt not fun (even during loses). At times, the dice rolls will NOT go your way. However, it is equally thrilling when you're on a hot streak or if you've managed to manipulate the dice rolls to set up conditions for success. On top of all the great game play mechanics; the lore/scenario book, flavor text, and art make for really awesome total package. I'm a huge horror fan (which I'm sure adds to my enjoyment) but I think any fan of solo games can find something to enjoy in this. P.S If you are not adverse to playing music while you play, having a horror movie soundtrack in the background enhances the tension even further!
