I love the Star Wars theme. This game is a 1 vs many game, where one player will play as the Imperials and the others play as the Rebels. As the Empire, you will build your faction with various tools at your disposal. The Rebels have a series of characters that will gain abilities as they advance through the non-linear story that is determined by several cards.

1st plays: This is a refined version of the Descent 2.0 system with a better theme. I really wanted to like Descent, but the hand of take-that cards always felt jarring, and the long turns caused it to drag a bit. Threaded actions and less gotcha's speed up the game and make for a positive experience. I do wish there were more Jedi/Sith though. 2nd plays: We played this multiple times in one night, and the campaign was interesting, each scenario was different, and not quite the frantic pace of Descent. It's still a race to complete objectives, but slightly less so, and still a very tight margin for error.

This game like so many others depends on your group you are playing with, but if you get the right group is loads of fun. It offers so many modes of play now. It has 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 skirmish it has solo play with the Pp, and has campaign mode. So much variety out of main box but when you throw in some expansions then it really gets wild - 19 heroes available for campaign play, 4 fullcampaigns and 2 mini campaigns. I am sure there will be more campaigns online before too long as well
