Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Ideal family game and first step in the boardgame universe : the game is smart and plays well, the rules are light but as the party is short, you always want to come back to try another approach. I played a couple of games and none of them was the same. Nine rounds is very short to develop the perfect city and this is really good !

Quick games, easy to learn, good for introduction game/new players, quite fun as well with different routes for development

Feels too straight-forward. If the resources you need line up with the ones you can get, there's not any decision to be made. Not that interesting. Also what is with the TINY pieces? Strange production decision.
