Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

The good: So many smart design decisions everywhere i look in this game. Multiple ways to do everything keeps it from being obvious and solveable. Needing to invest time to install traders before you sell is so smart. It allows for cool plays and the required investment makes it feel even better when you pull off a huge play. This game is just so smart. You can feel the thought they put into everything. It permeates the game. This is multiuse cards done RIGHT. Better than La Granja’s or Lisboa’s. They did a good job making sure there are at least two good options for all cards at all times. Having every sale refresh the buyers keeps things fluid and keeps us moving around the world. Again, this is so smart. Theres even a bit of excitement and gambling with the surveying. The actions are pretty simple, which is good as it would have been a disaster if they weren’t as there is eight of them. The bad: Kinda bummed that the survey action makes it possible to “camp” a spot. Possibly the coolest thing in this game is the scramble to get the new stuff that comes out and the fluidity and constantly moving nature of it all and survey ruins these things a bit. Pretty brutal setup. Placing out rows of objects has to be the next worst setup mechanism in history, after shuffling. Pretty terrible rulebook. It uses terms that serve to do nothing but confuse you, in the name of attempting to be thematic. The heavier your game is, the more damaging this is. I feel like maybe they missed a few tricks in the excitement department. The act of surveying has a feel of excitement and discovery to it and i wonder if they couldn’t have found a way to add those feeling to excavating. Also, this game does something i hate with the whole mothership thing. It draws your focus AWAY from the board we all exist on and adds an uninteresting area control sideshow. It can be a ton of points, but it reminds me of Merlin’s environs or Bora Bora’s priests where possibly the strongest way to play is also the most boring. For gods sake please stop adding uninteresting area control sideshows to otherwise perfectly fine main systems. Having three different ways to win all be numbers-based creates point salady, mathy situations which isnt a very exciting form of strategizing. Bottom line: Another very good game that you can feel was close to something genius. Feels very playtested and refined, but also like it was a bit of inspiration short of being an evergreen or something truly special. I used to know a chess master who would say “high on calculation, low on inspiration” and thats what this is.

je plutôt bon en multi, pas forcement tres facile a expliquer et a jouer pour les débutants, le solo lui est assez complexe a faire jouer .
