Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.

Not really sure what to think with this one. The rulebook made it very hard to teach, but once we actually got going it flowed pretty well. I'm interested in trying this one again to see how hard it is to teach and setup.
Empulsive
Solid. Forward thinking rewarded in a massive way. Outstanding variability and excellent theme. Another Suchy hit - highly recommended!
Brettspielminister
On the occasion of the events in the game Evacuation by Vladimir Suchy, the Ministry would like to warn once again urgently about the consequences of climate change. Crisis situations can arise faster than you think. And then there are only 4 years left to evacuate the earth's population. This is at least the thematic framework of Evacuation. Unlike other games, Evacuation starts with a functioning infrastructure on Earth, which then has to be relocated to a new planet within 4 years. Evacuation uses a "double-purpose" action selection mechanism, which not only defines the actions, but also the speed of progress on a progress tracker. The further you progress there, the more settlement possibilities you have on the new planet - but at the expense of production on the old planet and resources are a permanent problem. A constant shifting and balancing between the two worlds is the result. The game feels very thematic in this regard, and four years (whether race or points mode) just isn't enough time. "After the first game, I didn't know where I stand with this game," the minister said afterwards. "After two games, however, I'm already sure that this is an exceptional game in terms of feel. I haven't played anything quite like it." Multiple modules, four different tech trees and two game modes ensure that the game shouldn't get boring anytime soon, moreover. First, though, we have to figure out how to actually crack the target efficiently in race-mode.
