Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Euphoria is reasonably interesting at a glance, but I'm not sure it actually works. It seems like all the games I've played have been decided less than halfway through by the initial faction pulls and starting abilities. The dice don't give you very many good options, and things begin to drag on. There are some neat ideas and resource manipulation in it. But I thought there was too much 'going through the motions' to end the game.

Good dice Game, but for me i feel all time during The Game He plays like a race game. You run to build, you run to complete The tunnels and finally you still running to put your last Stars in The favors of The Cities. I like The citzens, cause them put a lot of good changes during The Game. Good one, but nothing beyond that.

Very good race game with an intriguing theme. Players can take their strategy in different directions and yet each game ends with a close finish. The game board is visually confusing at first, but once understood, Euphoria is a great game of gathering commodities and resources, building markets (with awesome dystopian names!) and collecting artifacts. The recruits are useful and not overpowering and the ethical dilemma cards add a nice layer of complexity to decision making. Be careful to leverage the knowledge track to your advantage and reduce the risk of your workforce shrinking. Super brightly colored components, great game!
