Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

The tactile feel of the tiles is great, I also like the art style; however, the gameplay itself is a bit random and on the lighter side. It also has a bit of take that by denial of a really good tile by discarding it for 1pt

Interesting abstract game with very simple rules and strategy that emerges as the learning game progresses. There's a good amount of discovery, leading to different strategies and balances between hate drafting and building yourself up. Abstracts don't generally tend to get played by the groups I'm part of, so I don't need to own it, but would gladly play again.

Takes a simple element from my childhood gaming with the classic Mah-jong computer game and adds just enough spice to gently hurt your brain.
