Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

I wouldn't mind learning and playing true Mahjongg, but until that day, I'll be delighted to build castles in Dragon Castle, using mechanics that the '90s computer games of "Mahjongg" featured. Terrific theme and irresistibly tactile pieces, and just-enough strategy to make this a fun, quick 45-minutes puzzle. And the resulting mini-castles are wonderful to admire at game's end.

It reminds me of those stupid computer Mah Jong games crossed with the far superior Hanging Gardens by Rio Grande Games (I represent the company, BTW). Anyway, it is a handsome and interesting abstract game.

An enjoyable and relaxing game that twist the solo Mahjong game into a multi player challenge. Find out more in my review https://youtu.be/1L5nzQRAiGo
