Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A lot of game here for 12 card decks! I need to get this on the table more to see if the rating will go up.

Great fun, quick game. Cards let you play in one of two ways and order of play can matter greatly as well. Feels like a lot of important choices. Can have games where it feels like you're just out of luck for a dumb play you made earlier (at least for me still being new at the strategy of the game), but games play so quickly that (at least when I play) I tend to make it a "best out of X number of games" type game and don't take any single loss too hard.

Decent, quick and portable game. You're fairly limited in the battle by card draw, but the abilities seem to do a pretty decent job at mitigating that. Doesn't really feel like you can afford not to go all out for most battles, though, as the game ends in less rounds than you might think. Glad I sprung for the Tarot-sized cards.
