Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

If I can figure out a way to stop this from outstaying it’s welcome (and find someone else who enjoys the theme as much as I), this could be one of my favorites. Superior to The Grizzled.

Really love this. Yes there is a bit of a disconnect between icon matching cards and the Noir theme but it still manages to pull off an entertaining gaming session. If you love story driven co-ops then its a no brainer! Played in groups of 4, each game took around 2 hours. No real downtime experienced.

A cooperative deduction game. This is a lot less complicated than Sherlock Holmes. 12 Cases to solve.
