Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

This is a quick tile-placement game with fun art and a macabre theme. It hasn't gotten much attention, but I like it and would play almost any time.

Takes too long for what it is (primarily because the art makes it hard to see what's going on) and ultimately turns on tiny things like getting one more tile with flowers connected or getting two more points from a guest. Not at all exciting.
Kevingston
A reasonable tile-laying game, a little in the vein of Kingdomino which I prefer for speed, decision making and artwork. The scoring is at the end of the game (something not immediately evident from the not-terribly-well-written rulebook) and depends on where the guests are relative to the horrors they are adverse to. Not a fan of the artwork but you get used to it eventually. Had to back this on KS as we run a B&B :)
