Curious Cargo
30m - 60m
2 - 2 Players
Ages 12+
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Didnt know playing pipeline tiles and pretending they're conveyor belts could be so much fun. Very crunchy 2 player game. Love it

The game could be fun and challenging in a good way. However, the token exchange rules and the phase structure are anything but clear and intuitive. That was just too much to really get comfortable with a theoretically simple-to-teach-hard-to-master game. My girlfriend left the table mid-game very frustrated about a game that's pretty chaotic. She does not want to play it again and I have to agree even though I am more patient. It severely suffers from having no player aids and player boards that don't make it clear, which bonus you get when you clear a column or which ones when you clear a row.

2p only No necessary in-game text I really like this game. It feels different than other games, I like the theme and mecanics. It has simple rules but it can be quite deep, thinky and open to multiple strategies.
