Crimson Company
10m - 45m
2 - 2 Players
This mechanic requires you to place a bid, usually monetary, on items in an auction of goods in order to enhance your position in the game. These goods allow players future actions or improve a position. The auction consists of taking turns placing bids on a given item until one winner is established, allowing the winner to take control of the item being bid on. Usually there is a game rule that helps drop the price of the items being bid on if no players are interested in the item at its current price.
Auction/Bidding
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.

Demetrius the First
A promising heavier filler. Very tight, low luck design. Essentially a small deck of cards, therefore very portable. The staying power remains to be seen. Fills the same niche as Strife. I slightly prefer the latter (even less luck and similar portability with even smaller table footprint.

After one play. I really liked the fact that every card is different. The cards in the market often create good combos between them, which is also very good. Though, i felt i wanted one more layer of complexity to be complete. Will update after more plays.

I really enjoy this little game which is not that little. The mechanic is easy to learn and interesting, but once you play you realize it can get deeper than expected. Your choices matter and the situation of the game can quickly change. It has great replayability and once you get to know the cards, it's even more interesting. The only negative point is that it is a trap for AP players. If you start to analyze every single possibility of each move, it can get boring.
