Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Just 1 play but I like everything about it, its probably a 9 but Its so different I give it extra points, the victory point track that also gives you stuff if well planned is a very nice innovation (or if already exists, I had not seen it)
Big Bad Lex
First Play:An overwealming sense of deja view when compared with Terra Mystica on several levels. The removal of buildings to reveal further bonuses, the busy player board, the near identical iconography and absolutely identical wooden buildings. Sure this is more complex but I'm pretty sure CI is the love child of TM and Taluva and wouldn't exist without at least one parent. Plays quickly after a detailed explanation. Would shine with the same group with repeat plays. One significant niggle. Why is the player board so small when so much information is crammed in. Would it have killed the budget to offer A4 boards which allowed more space and bigger, clearer fonts and icons? Also why was such flimsy card stock used? It saves pennies but makes such a difference. Second Play: Turn order seems to make a tangible difference especially at the start. The randomness of the card and tile bonuses was unhelpful.

Similar to a Lacerda game, in that you need to grasp how to accomplish things. Seems very difficult to get anything done initially, but things come together. I like the range of bonus anytime actions. The thing that differentiates this from other heavy euros is the use of tile placement to impact resource generation, which is done in a very clever way. Fun as solo or multiplayer.
