Coimbra introduces an innovative new dice mechanism in which the dice players draft each round are used in multiple different ways and have an impact on many aspects of their decision making. While there are many paths to victory, players should always seek to optimize their opportunities with every roll of the dice. Combined with ever-changing synergies of the citizens, expeditions, and monasteries, no two games of Coimbra will ever be the same!

Neat dice drafting/placement game, although it's very much a point salad. Felt very wide open with 2 players, so perhaps 3 or even 4 is the best experience. Didn't feel overly hard to figure out a decent strategy, although it would take multiple plays to figure out which path is "best" through the opacity. Movement felt much more rewarding than simple VP or resources, but it also depends on monastery placement and starting position. Wouldn't refuse to play again, but do not need to own.

Better than Voyages of Marco Polo, a bit less exciting than Grand Austria Hotel, definitely a keeper though!

plays fast and plays easy. Really like this one. All the colors here blind me sometimes but this is not a error or something its just my opinion. Great light/medium euro game.
