This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Amusingly translatey location names. I didn't feel especially compelled to look at others' cards, but I didn't win, so what do I know? Overall, I'm inclined to think that I'd like one with fewer moving parts, but not TOO many. The owner suggested Sid Sackson's "Haggle" for that - hm.

This game has some deduction, some worker placement, some resource collecting and minor bluffing all wrapped up in chaos. It sounded like a mess when it was being explained to me, but somehow it's the perfect length and amount of chaos. I had a lot of fun playing this and so did everyone else involved. I'm not sure if it came together through fantastic design or happy accident, but there's exactly enough time to get in, make a plan, get some info, possibly change that plan and get out in under an hour. I should note that I played a homemade version of this game created by a fan who was appalled by the graphic design of the actual production copy game.

Caveat that I've yet to play expert mode. This was a fun social experience, but I definitely wouldn't call it the most strategic game. It's a tiny bit arbitrary. That said, it's a brief enough experience that it can be a little arbitrary and be fun, the surprises at the end of what memories you didn't see can be a hoot. Super easy to teach and play too. I actually found the theme pretty charming and fitting - e.g. the idea of a robot caring about money because its owner did is funny, maybe kinda sad. Really poor graphic design, unreadable font and icons that often don't make sense. Gotta play this more!
