Clinic: Deluxe Edition
60m - 150m
1 - 4 Players
Ages 14+
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

02/27/20 - Kickstarter arrived!! If you are a management style gamer ie. you enjoy planning and managing how you build a personal tableau then this will not disappoint. I can see where the choices will be difficult to make in a multi-player game because of the action selection mechanic. The solo game does not present this - you are unimpeded to take the resources/modules you need to build your clinic.

I played the game with four friends and it was disappointing for all of us. It is an engine builder game. Unfortunately, at the end there are no more partients where you can use your built clinic. Player order, because of the scarcity of patients at the end, has a significant impact on the outcome of the game. In short, whoever leads at the beginning, loses the game at the end, because he does not get any more patients. And thematically, this game has nothing to do with a clinic at all. The theme seems imposed on the gameplay.

Reminds me of a Lacerda with how well the theme is tied into the mechanics. Base game has alot of game but adding the modules is fun as they add very little overhead for rules and quite a bit of variability.
