Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

There is almost a hint of Innovation. But it is much lighter and less interesting than Innovation. That is balanced somewhat by being lighter and easier to get people into.

Set collection with a healthy dose of take that and surprise chaos as the player interaction. Not for me.

Tried it with 2, 3 and 4 players, everything works well. I really like the game, short yet very clever, lots of possibilities and the game is really different when played with 2, 3, 4 or 2 vs 2. 2 players is a bit more dependant on luck from what I saw.
