Positives: Simple gameplay but with some decent strategy. I like that the game gives you a choice of tiles as opposed to Carcassonne. I also like the little tug of war with you neighbors over getting settlers out faster to score more points. Negatives: The graphic design is awful. The building colors aren't easy to see even if you have good eyesight. I'm not sure how much replayability it has since most of the differentiation in strategy comes from the 16 monument tiles. Overall: City Builder is a solid game and, to me, a better version of Carcassonne. I wish it had expansion content to extend it's life and make a few more strategies available but it's still a solid light-medium tile placement game.

Very puzzly tile-layer, not a lot of interaction between players apart from a race to grab the settlers first on the shared boards. Some poor graphics decisions make it harder to read the developing layouts than it should be. Reasonable game in there though.

How you take settlers form each side to score points, and subsequently take points from others, is neat, but the game is so solitaire that it just doesn't make sense to even play it with others. I also thought the tiles were just so hard to look at.
